December 27 2011, a Memorandum of Understanding between The National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) and The Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (IPMU) on the Prime Focus Spectrograph Project (PFS) has been signed.
In the agreement, the NAOJ supports the PFS program lead by the IPMU as an international project in its design, construction and observation.
